Just occasionally something happens and I become aware of some error in the site; an incorrect name to a photo, an image not appearing because somehow a vital space got deleted or something plainly out of date. One tries to keep things moving on but some pages get forgotten or are just not noticed. It is a great favour if any such item is made known to me so I can correct it asap. But such favours are rare.
We have not gained any further insights into our WW2 names here mentioned below. But 70 years on it is really no surprise. What does bother me is the lack of news from the past 30 odd years. I can assume there is a mountain of interesting titbits about those who have passed through the gates in Ashcombe Road and have done great/little things of interest, but all unbeknownst to us at large. The old school motto was ‘Esto Fidelis’ – ever faithful – and one tries to be that here in spite of everything.
