Occasionally I receive comments as to how out of date this site has become, how some pages have not changed, been revised, updated. Unfortunately much of that is true. One dreams of new members arriving and volunteering news and ideas, rejuvenating our Committee and taking over from the loyal few who struggle to keep things going. They remain dreams. While we do manage to get Ashcombe students in their final year to apply for the Annual Bursary, we never seem to excite them to join our Association. We have to wait 40 years till they have brought up kids and have spare time to reminisce and desire to get in touch with their former schoolmates. Trouble is this Association cant wait 40 years, it will be gone in less than 5 years without a transplant, new blood.
