Monitoring this website, I know precisely how many (few) visit here and wonder what can be done. It would be no great thing if it were visited by all and sundry but what of the members of the Ashcombe Dorkinian community? what are we missing? should we even bother to keep it going?
Peter Verral Read was a case of interest (especially as we approach the 70th anniversary of the miracle of Dunkirk). It even got into ‘The Dorkinian’ so every member should be aware of him. But not a sausage or comment has arrived here. Maybe there is nothing that anyone knows, but one would hope there would be a modicum of interest, something about that ill-fated Wellington crew about to be remembered in France.
No, its the lack of any general interest in or a perception of any value from this website that makes one want to consider if it is worth the effort of keeping it going. Do tell if you have a view; silence is not good enough.
