Yesterday May 6th Doc Morgan’s Anthem was played in Chichester Cathedral.
It was performed during a special Service at 3 pm, connected with the Order of St. John, attended by both Lords Lieutenant for East and West Sussex. It was mentioned in the Spring Newsletter but the timing was different, brought forward from Evensong, and we tried to inform members.

One sad thing was that Ursula Benjafield (nee Wheeler 1955-1962) and friend of Cynthia Morgan had been told that her father’s anthem was being played at Chichester Cathedral. She was trying to find out when and what time. I wrote back as quick as I could but it was that very day and I doubt she knew early enough. Ursula is not a member of ADA so had not seen the Newsletter but had browsed the website and not seen that Newsletter. I sent a message as I do to all guests who give me a correct email address but there was not enough time.

To me it shows there is a place for being a member of the ADA and browsing the website. Occasionally it helps!

PS. I have since learnt that Ursula and others successfully got to the Cathedral in time.
