We had the Bursary Panel meet when there were generally no students on site. The results are posted elsewhere. It was strange; somehow I could not imagine any such issue closing down the Grammar School.
It’s now July. Wimbledon is finished with new Number Ones. For me it is now three weeks enjoying/ commiserating with the riders of the Tour de France. Somehow all these sports suffer from so much speculation as to who will do what, who should be penalised for actions judged ‘unsporting’ or for trying too hard. Not enough shere pleasure for the dedication and efforts of the participants. As one who once tried and aspired to ride well it is all too much. I just enjoy the beautiful scenery as they pass through France.
