I probably mentioned that occasionally one has to update software – something I try to avoid unless what one has is not working well. Updates invariably cause things that used to work to fail or behave differently. I found one such item today; nothing had changed except the php driving it. It would have been appreciated if anyone had noticed the problem and emailed me. But such rarely happens and I cannot view every page every day. I am always busy dealing with one or other page on the site, correcting what is now out of date or bringing attention to something new.
Like the forthcoming celebration of 20 years since this Association was founded in 1992. It will be celebrated on June 30th in the old School Hall, now the Ranmore Resource centre. It is hoped to organise tours of the School; not trivial these days with security issues that would have seemed way out in the 1950s and 1960s. We hope it will interest both current members of the Association and others who, while being former students, have not wished to be associated with us. Let us celebrate together the merits of the School. its present and former staff and make sure that present and future students have the chance to look back in years to come by keeping an archive of photos and documents etc complete with names that I have been finding very difficult to retrieve after 60 years.
